The Presentation Ceremony-cum-BDC 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner of the 2024 Hong Kong Top Brand Awards & Hong Kong Top Service Brand Awards and Hong Kong Emerging Brand Awards & Hong Kong Emerging Service Brand Awards was held at the Convention Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 11 February 2025.
Financial Secretary of the HKSAR Government the Hon Paul Chan officiated at the Ceremony. Mr Chan presented trophies to the winners, together with the Hon Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development; Mr Aaron Liu, Director-General of Trade and Industry; and Ms Candy Lau, Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development. The Awardees included 42 winning brands of the 2024 Brand Awards, laureate of the “2024 Hong Kong Distinguished Brand Leader Award” and 6 winners of the “BDC 20th Anniversary Special Merit Award”.
A kick-off ceremony was held to unveil the serial activities in celebration of BDC 20th Anniversary. It was officiated by Financial Secretary Hon Paul Chan, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Hon Algernon Yau, Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department and Head of the Commercial Office of the LOCPG in the HKSAR Mr Zhou Qian, President of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong Dr Lo Kam Wing, as well as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Brand Development Council Mr Calvin Chan.
At the Gala Dinner, Hon Algernon Yau, Mr Zhou Qian, together with leaders of the Organisers, cut a birthday cake to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the BDC, followed by a toast with the participation of over 600 guests at the venue.
With over 50 banquet tables, the Gala Dinner gathered esteemed guests including government officials, members of Legislative Council, business leaders, Consul Generals, General Committee members of CMA and the BDC, and representatives of the industries. The Organisers also set up large-scale display boards at the venue to showcase and celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Awardees.
