The BDC acted as a Supporting Organisation for the Seminar on “The 14th Five-Year Plan and the Sustainable Development of Hong Kong Manufacturers”, co-organised by CMA and UNESCO Hong Kong Association. The Seminar was held on 3 May 2021 and it was broadcasted live on the internet, attracting an audience of near 200 participants.
The Seminar began with a welcome speech delivered by the CMA President Dr Allen Shi, followed by a keynote address by officiating guest Mr Leung Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC. Mr Leung analysed the vast opportunities brought by the 14th National Five-Year Plan. The second half of the Seminar was a panel discussion moderated by Chairman of CMA Sustainable Development Committee Prof Thomas Wong, in which Mr C Y Leung, together with four panellists including Executive President of UNESCO Hong Kong Association Prof Karen Cheung, CEO of C & C Joint Printing Co (HK) Ltd Mr Jackson Leung and Vice President & Chief Investment Officer of Winner Medical Group Mr Kelvin Orr, shed light on the strategies for Hong Kong manufacturers to tie in with the national policies and pursue sustainable development.
