With the brand pillar of "Inheriting years of experience with accredited professionalism", Hong Kong School of Motoring strives to help learners to become responsible drivers with road safety awareness through professional driving training and quality customer service. — Mr Francis Chu, BBS, CEO of The Hong Kong School of Motoring Limited
Established in 1983, Hong Kong School of Motoring is the first "government designated driving school" in Hong Kong and has assisted more than one million learners to obtain driving licence to date. The School operates three Road Safety Centres in prime locations, i.e. Ap Lei Chau, Siu Lek Yuen in Shatin, and Nam Sheng Wai in Yuen Long, whose training compounds are well-designed and equipped with comprehensive facilities. By providing a wide range of services, Hong Kong School of Motoring caters to different training needs of individuals and corporate customers.
Hong Kong School of Motoring has been committed to providing learners with professional driving training and quality customer services. It offers comprehensive, systematic training curriculums and possesses its own training compounds with designated test routes. These, together with years of profound experience and distinguished reputation, have made the School a widely-recognised brand.
Through progressive training curriculums that systematically integrate theory and practice, learners are trained to master comprehensive driving skills with proper driving attitude. Designated learning points and training objectives would be set for each training phase; and in addition to giving advice after learners have completed each in-car driving lesson, instructors would carry out by-phase assessments so that both parties are fully aware of the learning progress and the level attained. Learners could, anytime and anywhere, access their personal accounts via the School's mobile app, so as to review their training progress and assessment results, make lecture reservation, watch training videos and look over important information such as test and course schedule.
Since 2019, the School has rolled out five certificate courses in succession, on private car, light goods vehicle, bus, medium goods vehicle and motorcycle respectively. These courses have been accredited as Qualifications Framework Level 3 programmes by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications; they have also been included on the list of reimbursable courses under the Continuing Education Fund, such that graduates are eligible for both course fee subsidy and professional accreditation. This groundbreaking initiative has strengthened the leading position of the Hong Kong School of Motoring in the industry.
