The Tien Chu (Hong Kong) Company Limited was founded in 1929 by the famous industrialist Mr Wu Yun Chu. The manufacturing factory established in To Kwa Wan, Kowloon in 1937, was a pioneer in Hong Kong’s seasoning and chemical industry. In 1981, when the Shanghai Industrial Investment (Holdings) Company Limited was established in Hong Kong, Tien Chu was a subsidiary of the Group.
For nearly a century, Tien Chu upholds its spirit of craftsmanship and quality, earning numerous international accolades along the way. The Brand was honoured with the “Gold Prizes” at the Philadelphia Exposition, the Belgium Exposition and the Chicago Exposition; and has obtained “HALAL” certification more recently, a testimony to the strong recognition it received both at home and abroad for its outstanding products and brand reputation.
Backed by its solid manufacturing foundation, Tien Chu has continued to develop its flagship products and diversify product portfolio. Its signature product “Tien Chu Gourmet Powder” is crafted with an exclusive proprietary formula and refined through advanced precision manufacturing process, delivering a fine and consistent texture, excellent solubility and outstanding flavour-enhancing performance. The “1kg-pack Tien Chu M.S.G.” newly-launched this year has gained market trust with its stable quality and highly versatile applications, and is now widely used in professional catering and food processing. Tien Chu’s product range also extends to natural health products such as propolis and honey, in addition to chicken powder, beef powder and other compound seasonings.
In recent years, Tien Chu’s core production technologies have also been granted patents in both Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, further demonstrating the Brand’s foresight and strength in injecting innovative momentum into the umami seasoning industry.
