Company Profile

Mr Lee Kum Sheung, founder of Lee Kum Kee, invented oyster sauce in Nan Shui, Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China in 1888. Today, Lee Kum Kee has become a reputable global brand specialising in Chinese sauces, and it also established LKK Health Products Group to introduce Chinese herbal health products to the world. Lee Kum Kee is dedicated to reinforcing its brand image; with high reputation, exceptional taste, creative ideas, supreme quality, inspiring image and packaging as well as the environmentally-friendly attribute, its eclectic range of products win the recognition of all walks of life.

Track of Glory

Upholding the "Zero Tolerance Quality Management Philosophy:100-1=0" , Lee Kum Kee sauces passed through stringent tests for quality, safety and flavour, and had been selected for use on "Shenzhou" spacecrafts and the International Space Station since 2012. It became the first food manufacturer to receive the Nominee Award of "Guangdong Provincial Government Quality Award" in 2022, while the oyster sauce making technique was included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Guangdong Province.

Xinhui production base of Lee Kum Kee was recognized as "National Green Factory" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2018; and it became the one in fermented food industry globally that received "LEED" Platinum certification in 2020. After "Xinhui Production Base Green Manufacturing Project" were conferred "Silver Award" and "Outstanding Impact Award" of the first "SDG Achievement Awards Hong Kong 2021" organised by Green Council, the "Constructed Wetland Park Project" and "Biogas Power Generation Project" won the same awards in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Lee Kum Kee has since 2022 signed up the ESG Pledge organised by the CMA and was honoured with the first "Hong Kong ESG Grand Award" in 2023. The Company also received "Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence — Silver Award" from the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Environment and Ecology Bureau in 2023. These recognitions are testimonies to Lee Kum Kee's strenuous and fruitful efforts in promoting sustainable development.
